We straighten and cut wire in a wide variety of sizes, lengths and material and our cut pieces of wire will meet your length and straightness tolerances. We can cut wire with diameters as low as 0.004" up to 0.375" made from aluminum, stainless steel, steel and most linear material. We also cut precious metals to include cutting gold, silver, and platinum from either spool or rod. Novo doesn't hold any minimum quantities and our wire straightening and wire cutting service can be customized to help fulfill your needs. In addition to wire we also cut tubing and cut strips as well as straighten those materials. All of our wire cutting leaves burr free ends and the wire straightened to customer tolerance levels. Novo also offers secondary operations which include wire forming, bending, threading and many other applications. We also offer batching and packaging options to create a one stop shop for your production needs. Cut Wire
Novo Precision offers cut to length services for wire diameters ranging from .003" to. 350", strip widths up to .500", and thicknesses down to .004". The material type and thickness to width ratio will determine if the specific application is suited to our processing capabilities to straighten and cut wire. Novo Precision specializes in applications where the cut pieces need to be straight, the cut length tolerance is +/- .002” or greater, and a square, burr free cut is necessary. The quill-on-quill shearing concept employed results in cuts with minimal distortion that can sometimes eliminate the need for chamfering ends for leads in automated assembly operations.
The tube shearing process incorporates arbors to support the ID and OD of the tubing on both ends, which results in minimal distortion and burr free sheared ends. This can be particularly beneficial when cutting precious metal tubing since there is no waste resulting from the kerf of an abrasive wheel process. Tubing diameters to .250" and cut lengths to .375" can be processed.

Tantalum markers for use in medical applications are produced in a wide range of diameters and lengths. Novo Precision manufactures tantalum markers from ASTM F560 in the full hard condition, and can provide a Material Certification and Certificate of Compliance for each product shipment. Passivation to specifications A967 (citric acid) and F86 (nitric acid) can also be included. Other medical markers include radiographic markers, implant markers, bone markers and radiopaque markers.
