Vertically Oriented Cut to Length Machine Integrated into an assembly system at http://www.novoprecision.com/products... cutting .008" diameter gold plated phosphor bronze wire to .250" lengths with a 30 degree angle cut. Wire is taken off of spool using a custom payoff for fine wire that uses adjustable back tension through use of a magnetic brake. From the payoff wire is fed through a #00 4-plane Precision Wire Straightener to achieve the utmost straightness. Straightened wire then enters the reciprocating feed carriage that runs between positive stops to ensure length accuracy of +/- .002". To achieve 30° angled cut, quills are specially ground and our custom quill on quill cutting process results in a clean burr free end.
