In this video we are cutting spools of .250" diameter copper tubing to 1/2" lengths for the Lighting Industry https://www.novoprecision.com/product.... Tubing is pulled of a coil and run through a Novo #4 Precision Wire Straightener with 7 custom bearings per plane. Each of these custom bearings are individually ground to 120 degrees to avoid marking the material. In the material feeding process both the tubing ID and OD is supported while traveling into the cutting unit. A shear cutting technique of the supported tube is used and results in a burr free cut with little to no kerf.
