#2 Pneumatic Feed and Cut System with Knurling Attachment

In this video #2 Pneumatic Feed and Cut to Length System with a Wire Knurling Attchment is cutting .045" diameter wire with a .010" deep knurling pattern. A custom wire payoff is used to unspool material and feeds through the knurling attachment. From the payoff the knurled wire is run through a #2 two plane Precision Wire Straightener with custom v-grooved bearings to provide utmost straightness. Straightened wire then passes through the reciprocating feed carriage and into the pneumatically actuated cutter head. A quill on quill cutting process is used which results in clean burr free ends and the ability to hold length tolerances as low as +/- .002". Secondary operations such as cleaning and passivation are available as well as custom packaging of parts. Emergency stop sensors are installed to prevent safety incidents and a touch screen panel interface gives ease of use in changing machine speeds, batching and counter information.
