Using state-of-the art tube shearing processes that result in a finished product with minimal burr, no deformation and tube cut lengths +/-.002". The ID and OD of the shear tubes is supported throughout the cutting process. Shear cutting is a more cost efficient option to laser cutting as the lower cost of machinery and higher speeds results in reduced costs. The Novo tube cutting service is ideal for small tube cutting up to .375". In the process of cutting small tubes it is of upmost importance to support the ID and OD and here at Novo we have been cutting tubes for 30 years and have perfected this process. The tube shearing process incorporates arbors to support the ID and OD of the tubing on both ends, which results in minimal distortion and burr free sheared ends. This can be particularly beneficial when cutting precious metal tubing since there is no waste resulting from the kerf of an abrasive wheel process. Tubing diameters to .250" and cut lengths to .375" can be processed.
